Sad višňový je kolem chaty,
nad stromy chrousti s hudbou svou,
rolnici domů jdou,
zpěv vesele zní za děvčaty
a ku večeří matky zvou.
Večeří všichni kolem chaty,
večeřní hvězdy vzplane třpyt,
rozdává dcera jíst a pít;
matce by plynul z úst proud zlatý,
však slavik nedá promluvit.
Pokladla matka kolem chaty
nejmenší z dětiček svých
a usnula pak vedle nich.
Vše zichlo jen zpěv za děvčaty
a slavíček, ten neutich.
