Al mormorar de liquidi cristalli
Che lenti si movean tra verdi valli
Vaghe Ninf’ e Pastori
Dicean con cant’ allegri alt’ e sonori
Che facean ribombar l’area d’intorno:
Felic’ e lieto giorno
Che posse Feb’ al mondo
a si bel’ alm’ il pondo
scesa qua giù da li celesti cori:
Viva la bella Dori!

At the murmur of crystal waters,
which slowly move through verdant valleys,
desirous nymphs and shepherds
spoke with happy, loud, and resonant songs
that made the air echo round:
“It is a happy and delightful day
in which Phoebus gave birth to so fair a soul,
that has come down on earth
from the choirs above;
Long live fair Dori!”.

Bij het ruisen van kristheldere waters,
die traag door groene dalen vloeien,
zeiden, met blije, luid weerklinkende stemmen,
die rondgalmden door de lucht:
