Born: 1875

Died: 11 February 1945

Biography Born in Windsor, Berkshire and died in Brixham, Devon. Chorister (1883) and later assistant organist at Eton College. B. Mus. (1903) from Queen's College, Oxford. On the music staff at Eton from 1914-1935, retiring after 52 years association with the College. Various other teaching and organist posts in the surrounding area. Best known work is probably his setting of the French carol, Whence is that goodly fragrance.
