Annua Cæciliae venerunt tempora divae.
Plectra sacrae mihi det virgo Thalia lyrae;
Solemni resonet templum venerabile cantu;
Voce preces moveas supplice quisquis ades.

English.png English translation

The yearly festival of sainted Cecilia has arrived.
May the virgin Thalia bestow on me the plectra of her holy virginals;
May the church resound with solemn song;
May you - whoever you are - offer up prayers with suppliant voice.
