No som cert homeng ch'a strupiat el cervel,
e tug hom del strolug e' del profeta.
Ble, ble, ble, ble, chiel, chiel,
porten senget platel de foiadi rostid o de polenta,
chi com havrum mangiat,
per manc dum pavol faron qui la museca del Diavol.

German translation

schau an das beschmutzte Hemd.
Wir sind gewisse Leute, die sich das Hirn zermartern,
und jeder ist ein Astrologe und Wahrsager.

wir haben gesprungene Schüsseln,
um daraus Gebratenes oder Polenta zu essen,
aus Mangel an Geld spielen wir hier die Musik des Teufels.

Behold the soiled shirt.
We are certain people that twist our minds,
and each one an astrologer or a mentalist.

We have flawed plates
to eat roast meat or polenta,
for lack of money we play now the devil’s music.
