Come sullen night that in thy sylent cover
like ruthfull birds my swarmeinge cares may hover
come sullen night let could [cold] dispayre assay
the restless fludgate of my eyes to stay
but come what will ahlas [alas] noontyde or morrow
all seemeth darke in this my night of sorrow.

Yet come sweete morne though you my ysce [icy] feares
canst not dissolve, nor keepe truce with my teares
Nor that thy pleasure can my payne redeeme
But that all change of payne doth pleasure seeme
Then come what will alas noonetyde or morrow
All seemeth darke in this my night of sorrow.
