Cum pervenisset beatus Andreas ad locum ubi crux parata erat,
exclamavit et dixit:
“O bona crux, diu desiderata,
et iam concupiscenti animo praeparata,
securus et gaudens venio ad te,
ut et tu exultans suscipias me,
discipulum eius qui pependit in te.”

English.png English translation

When the blessed Andrew had come to the place where the cross was prepared,
he cried out and said:
“O good cross, long desired,
and now prepared for my longing soul,
confident and rejoicing I come to you,
so that you also, exulting, may receive me,
the disciple of Him who hung upon you.”
