Latin.png Latin text

Domine Deus patrum nostrorum,

in qua benedicatur nomen tuum in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

English.png English translation

O Lord, God of our fathers,
may the heavens and the earth bless you, the sea, the fountains, and the rivers,
and all your creatures that are in them.

And now, O Lord, you know
that it is not for lust that I take this wife,
but only for the love of posterity and in purity of heart,
so that your name may be blessed forever and ever. Amen.
