Domine, praevenisti eum in benedictionibus dulcedinis;
posuisti in capite ejus coronam de lapide praecioso.

Vitam petiit, et tribuisti ei
longitudinem dierum in saeculum saeculi.

O Lord, you have gone before him with blessings of sweetness;
you placed upon his head a crown of precious stone.

He asked for life, and you granted it to him:
length of days for ever and ever.
