Description: The secular chanson and the sacred rhymed psalm 10 have the same incipit; They are both by Clément Marot (Chanson XIV from Adolescence Clémentine) and the poetic form of the psalm is modelled after the chanson (d'amour).

Toujours serai de tristesse rempli Jusques à tant qu'au vrai le me mandez. Je crois que plus d'Ami ne demandez, Ou mauvais bruit de moi on vous révèle, Ou votre cœur a fait amour nouvelle. 2. Psalm: Pseaulme Dixiesme à deux versetz pour couplet à chanter.. Dont vient cela, Seigneur, je te supply, Que loing de nous te tiens, les yeulx couverts? Te caches tu, pour nous mectre en oubly? Mesmes au temps, qui est dur, et divers? Par leur orgueil sont ardants les pervers A tourmenter l'humble, qui peu se prise: Fais que sur eulx tombe leur entreprise.

Dutch translation (Chanson only) Waardoor komt 't toch, Schoonheid, bid ik u, dat u zich nooit meer bij mij aandient? Ik zal alle dagen vol verdriet zijn, tot het moment, dat u het mij echt vertelt: Ik denk dat u helemaal geen vriend meer wilt, of dat een kwaad gerucht omtrent mij u is onthuld, of dat uw hart een nieuwe liefde heeft omarmd.
