Do, ch'innamorato m'ha,
Non so con l'andarà.
O quanto che l'e bell'a gl'occhi miei,
Io penso sol di lei, la nott'e'l giorno
Penso di sua beltà.
Coi suoi belli occhi neri
E il mio cor ferito m'ha,
Non so con l'andarà.
Io penso d‘esser solo innamorato,
Ne mai per quest'ingrato a lei sarò
Servendo fideltà.

German translation

Es gibt da eine Witwe,
ach, die mich verliebt gemacht hat,
ich weiß nicht, wie es weiter geht.
O wie schön ist sie für meine Augen,
ich denke nur an sie, Nacht und Tag
denke ich an ihre Schönheit.
Mit ihren schönen schwarzen Augen
hat sie mein Herz verwundet,
