Latin.png Latin text

Excita potentiam tuam Domine Deus
et veni: ut a demonio in hora mortis nostrae,
te duce, erepti, tecum sine fine laetetur.

Vindica gregem tuum et audi preces nostras.
Eleva brachium tuum Domine rex omnipotens,
et inimicos nostros numine sterne tuo.

English.png English translation

Awaken your might, O Lord,
and come: so as from the demon at the hour of our death
rescued, with you leading, let us rejoice with you without end.

Defend your flock, and hear our prayers.
Raise your arm, O Lord, immortal king,
and strike down our foes with your divine power.

Translation by Allen Garvin
