Poi che’l ciel vi fa degne
Di veder quel signor che d’Austria il seme
Tien e di Carlo il glorioso nome
Fate con voci vive
Sentir al mondo come
Tosto verrà ch’alle sue sacr’insegne
L’Affrica ceda e tutta l’Asia insieme,
E l’Europa intenta ad honorarlo
Dirà: viva il gran Carlo.

Glückliche und ergötzliche Ufer der Adria,
da der Himmel euch würdigt,
zu sehen jenen Herrn, der von Österreich den Samen
trägt und von Karl den glorreichen Namen,
lasst mit lauter Stimme
die Welt hören, wie
es bald kommen wird, dass seinen heiligen Fahnen
gemeinsam weichen werdenAfrika und Asien,
und Europa, das ihn zu ehren begehrt,
