Biography

Rev. Francis Amcotts Jarvis was born in Hackthorn, Lincolnshire, England, and was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge. He served as Rector of Kettlethorpe, Vicar of Burton-upon-Stather, Rector of Flixborough, and Rural Dean of Manlake. He was also Magistrate (J.P.) for Lindsey. He died in Burghersh Chantry, Lincolnshire. An active musician, he published a number of pieces including service music, anthems, songs, and part songs.
