Latin text In hac die Christophorus, alleluia, Jacobusque apostolus, alleluia; Pro fidei suspirio, alleluia, Trucidantur martyrio, alleluia. Joannes, frater Jacobi, alleluia, Alter filius tonitrui, alleluia, Dum tonant evangelium, alleluia, Corda fremunt crudelium, alleluia.

English translation On this day, Christopher, alleluia, And James the Apostle, alleluia; For love of the faith, alleluia, They are slain in martyrdom, alleluia. John, the brother of James, alleluia, The other Son of Thunder, alleluia, As they thunder forth the Gospel, alleluia, Strike fear into cruel hearts, alleluia.
