In Thorny Woods in Buckinghamshire,
Right-fol-lol de-li-de O,
O there’s a place to hunt the deer,
Fol-de-rol lol-de-ri-do;
Through open path and grassy glade,
Through sunny ranges and deepening shade,
The hunters ride in scarlet arrayed,
Fol-de-rol fol-de-rol li-do.

’Tis sweet to hear the sound of the horn,
Right-fol-lol de-li-de O,
A-wake the echoes of the horn,
Fol-de-rol lol-de-ri-do;
’Tis fine to view the huntsmen gay
Go sweeping on in the turf-covered way,
Or see the stags stand boldly at bay,
Fol-de-rol lol-de-rol li-do.

In Thorny Woods in Buckinghamshire,
Right-fol-lol de-li-de O,
The air is fresh and crisp and clear,
Fol-de-rol lol-de-ri-do;
There joyous songs on high shall rise,
And joyous voices shall gladden the skies,
When dogs and men return with the prize,
Fol-de-rol lol-de-rol li-do.
