French text Je me contente sans avoir joyssance, d'amours j'ay trop à souffisance, pour ce, le jeu j'en veulx quicter, car par trop longue est l’espérance du bien qu'ay voulu désirer, dont prendre veulx en patience, en brief, d'amours me retirer.

English translation I satisfy myself but there’s no fun, With love my cup has overrun, Therefore, I want to quit this game. It’s been too long, I’d fain be done With endless waiting for my aim, The which I’ve suffered ‘til I’m numb, In short, this love I now disclaim. Translation by Thomas Daughton
