Biography

Maria Valtorta was a Roman Catholic Italian writer, poet and mystic. She was a Franciscan tertiary and a lay member of the Servants of Mary. Her reported personal visions of Jesus, during the period 1943-1947, formed the basis of her book The Poem of the Man-God.
