Description: This madrigal celebrates the wedding of Francesco Medici to Bianca Cappello in 1579. The text, by Giovan Battista Strozzi the elder, was originally written for the coronation of Cosimo Medici I as the Grand Duke of Tuscany. It was modified slightly for the newer occasion.

Mentre l'un polo intorno
o l'altro roterà l'accesa schiera;
Mentre sia primavera
di rose o l'altro di bei pomi adorno
e mentre verrà il giorno
dopo la notte o dop'il dì la sera
sempre la terra e'l mare
sempre BIANCA s'udrà, BIANCA sonare.
