Manuscript ca. 1510 –1525 in Bayerische Staatsbibliothek Mus. MS 6, no. 3
Description: An 8-part polyphonic mass from the first quarter of the 16th century is quite remarkable. Not only that: it really is great music. It was transcribed from this source: BSB Mus.ms. 6, a choirbook from ca. 1530 containing masses by Bauldeweyn, Josquin, Vinders, Champion and unnamed composers. The two parts originally notated in C3-clef (named A in the voicing-list) have an overall range from tenor bottom c to alto top a, varying between movements.
