Description: The fifth in a series of fourteen collections of motets published by Attaingnant in 1534, 1535, and 1539. This collection contains twelve Magnificat settings by French composers for the first three tones, along with an extra setting for three voices. Settings for the latter five tones were published in Book 6. This collection was published in August, 1534.
