Perche non mi consoli ò Vergin pia,
Ne più mi scorgi al ben, che'l cor desia?
Forsi per far maggiore
Il mio vivace ardore?

Ben veggio esser di tal favor'indegno,
N'altro da te mi merto, ch'ira, e sdegno:
Ma pur pietosa sei
A sconsolati, e rei.

Fà dunque hor fia vano il mio desio,
Già che potonte sei d'huom vero,e DIO
Madre abeterno eletta,
E VERGIN benedetta.
