Life

Born: 11 Sep 1614

Died: 23 Mar 1669

Biography After singing in the boys choir of Barfüßerkirche in Frankfurt am Main, he went to Poland and converted to Catholicism there. After five years, he travelled to Italy to absorb the new style of Monteverdi. On his return to Germany he was employed by bishop Johann Philipp von Schönborn in Würzburg and later Mainz for his Electoral orchestra.
