Italian text Quando lo gallo chiama la gallina, canta versi d’amor soavemente; canta cucurucu, perch’ogni cosa al dio d’amor s’inchina.

German translation Wenn der Hahn die Henne ruft, singt er sanft Verse der Liebe; er singt „cucurucu“, denn alles beugt sich vor dem Gott der Liebe. Translation by Gerhard Weydt
