The text is from Luke 16, 3 - 4 for the first part, and Luke 16, 2 for the second part. Astonishingly, Homo reverts the sequence of the two excerpts.

Latin text Quid faciam? Quia Dominus meus aufert a me vilicationem; fodere non valeo, mendicare erubesco. Scio quid faciam, ut, cum amotus fuero a vilicatione, recipiant me in domos suas. Dixit dominus villico: quid hoc audio de te? Redde rationem villicationis tuae! Alleluia!

German translation Was soll ich tun? Denn mein Herr nimmt mir das Amt; graben kann ich nicht, zu betteln schäme ich mich. Ich weiß, was ich tun will, damit sie mich, wenn ich abgesetzt bin aus meinem Amt, in ihre Häuser aufnehmen. Der Herr sprach zum Verwalter: Was höre ich da von dir? Gib Rechenschaft über deine Verwaltung!

English translation What shall I do? For my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. The Lord said unto the stewrad: How is it that I hear this of thee? Give an account of thy stewardship!
