Biography

Robert Fairlamb Reah was born in South Shields, Durham, England, and graduated from Trinity College, London. He returned to South Shields and became a tallow chandler. He was a supporter of education, serving as a member of the School Board and was Vice-Chairman of the Education Committee. He was an amateur musician, active in John Curwen’s Tonic Sol-Fa movement. He composed a few part-songs.
