Biography

Russel Kelso Carter was a professor at the Pennsylvania Military College of Chester. HE was licensed to preach by the Methodist Episcopal Church and became very active in leading camp meetings and revivals. He wrote novels as well as hymns after ill health forced him to stop working at which point he became a doctor and writer..
