Nacht will sich ausbreiten.
Hell erglüht das Sternenzelt
in des Himmels Weiten.
Nach des Tages M¨h’ und Not,
bitten wir doch, Herre Gott,
laß uns ruhig schlafen ein,
deinem Schutz befohlen sein.
Alle Freud und alles Leid
laß uns vor dich tragen,
was uns sorgt in dieser Zeit
möchten wir dir sagen.
Halte uns in deiner Huld
und vergib uns unsre Schuld,
daß wir morgen wie auch heut’,
loben dich in Ewigkeit.
