List! oh, list! to the echoes of the morning,
Hail! all hail! bright crimson sky adorning,
Over mountain hill and valley,
Now to the bugle horn we will rally.
Softly the breath of morn is sighing,
Sweetly the echoes are replying,
Too tee ah, Too tee ah, Ho.
On for the race we are flying,
Loudly the echoes replying,
As on to the fields we go.
We dash, and crash thro’ gutter and marsh,
With lightning speed we flutter and flash,
Unheeding all else but the bugle horn
Resounding afar in the stilly morn,
Too tee ah, Too tee ah, Ho.
Sweet is the sound of the bugle horn,
As borne on the breeze of a beautiful morn.
On for the race we are flying,
Loudly the echoes replying,
Too tee ah, Ho— As on we go.
