English text
Click, clack, hear the merry millwheel,
click, clack,
Waters ever dashing,
Drops so brightly flashing,
Pleasant is the sound from morn till night.
hear the merry millwheel,
click, clack,
Thro’ the vale resounding,
From the hills rebounding,
Click, clack, the merry song goes.
Smoothly now the waters are ever flowing,
Murmur soft and low their song;
Lilies fair, with sweet breath growing,
Where the mill, the mill is singing,
Brightly its happy song.
