Welcome

Hi David, welcome to CPDL! Thank you for your recent contributions. Your files were renamed as requested by you.

Would you like your composer page to continue under the title "David M Howard" or would you prefer just "David Howard", as you have used inside Psalm 76? —Carlos (talk) Email.gif 18:54, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi Carlos, Thanks for this and apologies for the long reply delay. I would prefer David M Howard on all my name holders. I have just submitted two more arrangements and am now getting a RED ERROR User account "David Howard" is not registered. Please check if you want to create/edit this page. I do not know what to do about this. Might you be able to help? Thanks David Davidmhoward13 (talk) 06:17, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

Uploading a pdf score not working

I am wanting to upload some score and I get to the page 'Upload file' and the 'Choose file' option does not do anything at all - am I missing something?

Thanks

David

Hi, David. Thanks for your contributions. When one clicks on "Upload a file" under "Tools", in the left pane of any CPDL page, in front of "Name of the file:" a click on the "Browse" button lets browse hard disks or USB keys until picking the file in a list. But uploading a file is not enough to create an edition, with a unique edition number and many related informations.
Creating an edition begins in clicking on the upper right side of the corresponding work page, on "Add new edition". If the related work page itself doesn't already exist, one has to go to the composer page, then click on "Add new work".
Feel free to ask me more. Claude T (talk) 17:54, 23 October 2022 (UTC)

Hi Claude,

Hmm I still am stuck. I get to the 'upload file' page (I cannot see an 'upload a file' page which might be relevant) I cannot see 'Name of the file". What I do see is 'Source filename' with a 'Choose file' button but clicking on this button does nothing. I have tried going round the process a few times to see if there is any other obvious route but I cannot find one. I think I must be doing something wrong or in the wrong order. David

In the bottom half part of the left pane of any CPDL page, I see a choice in the list that reads "Téléverser un fichier" that I translate as "Upload a file". It is not a page, but a choice in the left menu. It leads to the "Upload" [a file] page at this address. You see?
By the way, feel free to add, in each of your editions, aside the PDF (score), an MXL (compressed MusicXML) file, it allows users to prepare rehearsal files, change tempo and adapt your score to their needs to SING your music.
Also, feel free to sign your words typing four tildes in a row. Claude T (talk) 09:38, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
