Latin.png Latin text

Voces citharaezorum,
citharizantium in citharis suis,
auditae sunt in excelso clamantes.
Quem quaeritis, O magi reges,
stella duce properantes?
Ipsum Deum Angelorum,
factum regem viatorum.
Ecce fulget in praesepio
virginis in gremio.
Exultemus jubilemus,
alternantes concrepemus
melos demus vocibus.
Alleluia.

English.png English translation

The voices of the gitternists,
gitterning on their gitterns,
are heard calling on high.
Whom are you seeking, O wise men and kings,
approaching by the guide of the star?
The God of the Angels himself,
made king of travellers.
It is here that he shines in a manger
in the arms of a virgin.
Let us rejoice and be joyful,
by turns raising a racket
and singing sweet melody.
Alleluia.
