Latin text Vox in Rama audita est ploratus et ululatus [multus], Rachel plorans filios suos, [et] noluit consolari, quia non sunt. German translation Auf dem Gebirge hat man ein Geschrei gehöret, viel Klagens, Weinens und Heulens, Rahel beweinete ihre Kinder und wollt sich nicht trösten lassen, denn es war aus mit ihnen. Hungarian translation Hang hallatszik a hegyen, nagy sírás és jajgatás, Ráchel siratja fiait és nem akar vigasztalódni, mert nincsenek többé.

English translation A voice is heard in Ramah of weeping and [great] lamentation. Rachel is weeping for her children, and will not be comforted because they are no more. Dutch translation In Rama werd een stem gehoord, vol droefheid en [groot] weegeklaag. Rachel die haar zonen beweent, en ontroostbaar is, omdat ze zijn heengegaan. Polish translation Głos jest słyszan w Ramie, płacz i krzyk wielki, Rachel płacząca synów swoich, i nie chciała się dać pocieszyć, iż ich nie masz.
