Du lächle nur, Lenzdüfte wehn

Durch mein Gemüte, wonnevoll!

Frisch aufgeblühter Rosen Glanz,

Vergleich ich ihn dem deinigen?

Ach, über alles, was da blüht,

Ist deine Blüte wonnevoll!

Durch tote Wüsten wandle hin,

Und grüne Schatten breiten sich,

Ob fürchterliche Schwüle dort
