English text 1. There is a land that is free from tears, That blessed home of the soul, No burdened hearts or anxious fears And the streets are paved with gold. Ch. Will you be there when the saints are marching into glory With the blood-washed host of God? Will you be there when they sing the overcoming story Of redemption through his blood?

2. No poor are begging on the street, The blind are made to see; No homeless wandering soul to meet, Through all eternity. 3. No feeble bodies ever sigh From pain to be relieved; No friendless children ever cry, No mother's heart is grieved. 4. There toil is done and victory won, The saints from sin are free; They shout the glorious harvest home, The year of jubilee.

5. There all the people are as one, Redeemed from lost estate; And earthly honors follow none, Who enter through that gate. Ch. Yes, I’ll be there when the saints are marching into glory With the blood-washed host of God. Yes, I’ll be there when they sing the overcoming story Of redemption through his blood.
