German text 14 Zion spricht / Der HErr hat mich verlassen / der HErr hat mein vergessen. 15 Kan auch ein leiblich Mutter ihres Kinds vergessen / das sie sich nicht erbarme über den Sohn ihres Leibes? Und ob sie desselbigen wird vergessen / So wil ich doch dein nimmermehr vergessen. 16 Siehe / in meine Hände hab ich dich gezeichnet / (Jesaja 49, 14 - 16a)

English translation 14  But Zion said: 'The Lord hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.' 15  Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee. 16  Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands. (Isaiah 49, 14 - 16)
