Life

Biography

Jayme Amatnecks is a Brazilian composer and conductor.

Received training in the Brazilian states of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and São Paulo, was a student of Gabriel de Paula Machado, Lucia Passos and Hans-Gerhardt Rotmann, and participated in chamber groups as the Choir UEPG (PR), Choir Unisinos (RS) and the Choir of the Teatro Guaíra (PR).

In 1999 he organized the choral groups Ars Musica and Vox Pop Vocal with whom he performed countless concerts, promoting mainly the vocal repertoire of Brazilian music.

Participated in conferences, workshops and courses on choir conducting, presented by such names as: Erik Westberg (Sweden); Alberto Grau (Venezuela); Paul Oakley (USA); Eph Ehly (USA); Dennis Jewett (USA); Joseph Prats (Spain); Janet Galván (USA); Bob Chilcott (England); Hans-Peter Schurz (Germany); Rodney Eichenberger (USA); Gunta Malevica (Letonia) and Oswaldo Ferreira (Portugal).

Was conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of Ponta Grossa (2001-2005), from 2005 to 2001 he taught at the University Potiguar -UNP. He conducted the Choir of CEIC, Choir St. Cecilia, Choir of AFENAB/AABB and Choir of the Federal Court of Rio Grande do Norte (2005-2011).

It was important project creator disclosure of vocal music and choral singing: The implantation of a system through musicalization of choral singing in municipal public schools, forming 83 choirs, directly reaching 40 regents and 1346 students all 83 public schools and indirectly more than 200,000 people. Gave lectures and concerts in every capital of Brazil, and participated as conductor of the Choir Ars Musica, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, which ran 102 Brazilian cities.

He was elected twice by the class as a member of the Culture Council of the city of Ponta Grossa, Paraná.

Composes a free language, supported many times in popular musical traditions. Accounts for a total of 6 CDs and two awards for artistic merit, the Premio Anita Philipowski delivered by the city of Ponta Grossa, and the prize O Semeador awarded by the Government of the State of Paraná.

Has published three books by Editora ARCO of Curitiba: "NATAL DE GLÓRIA" (2 editions), "TIC, TAC, ZÓIN, UMA HISTÓRIA SOBRE OS SONS", and the musical "UM PRESENTE PARA MAMÃE".

In 2013 he served as a juror in the VII Festival Internazionale CHORUS INSIDE - Advent Edition in Rome, Italy. In 2014 gave a masterclass "Missa Santa Cruz" by Osvaldo Lacerda for singers and conductors of the choirs participating in the X Festival CHORUS INSIDE Summer in the city of Chieti, Italy.
