Spanish text Cumplido es ya nuestro deseo remediado es nuestro mal cante el linaje humanal: "Gloria in excelsis Deo" pues Dios se ha hecho mortal. No hay cosa igual que querer hoy Dios nascer. Gran plazer, ¡oh gran plazer! Pues amana la gaznata: "Cordero que al lobo mata non más de verle nascer, ¿quien pensáis que deve ser?" Pues que tan bien lo has chapado dínos quien es esse tal. Es el Verbo encarnado, en la Virgen sin pecado, sin pecado original. Pues entona aquí, Pascual, un cantar si Dios te dexa: "N'Eulàlia vol gonella, Bernat, n'Eulàlia vol gonella. Ay, vol-la de palmella, Bernat, amb u rossegall darrera, Bernat, N'Eulàlia vol gonella". No nos cansemos, con plazer cantemos pues Dios y hombre es ya nascido. ¿Qué hará aquel perdido Lucifer pues que le quitó su ser la Virgen, madre y esposa? "Florida estava la rosa, que o vento le volvía la folla". Caminemos y veremos a Dios hecho ya mortal ¿qué diremos, qué cantemos al que nos libró de mal, y al alma de ser cativa? ¡Viva, viva, viva, viva! canta tu y responderé: "San Sabeya, gugurumbé, alangandanga, gugurumbé". English translation SPANISH: Our wishes have been fulfilled, our wrongs have been righted The human lineage shall proclaim: “Glory to God in the Highest” for God has made Himself mortal Nothing compares to today’s wish to see God be born. Great joy; Oh, grand pleasure! From throats flows: “Lamb that slew the wolf Just seeing Him born was sufficient; But who else could it be? Yet since He is so gilded Tell us, who is He? He is the Word made flesh From the Immaculate Virgin Free from original sin. Sing, Pascual, this hymn, if God grants you: CATALAN: “Eulalia wants a gown, Bernard, Eulalia wants a gown.
