Description: The seventh in a series of fourteen collections of motets published by Attaingnant in 1534, 1535, and 1539, this collection contains twenty-four motets for three to six voices by French composers. All of the motets are for Advent or Christmas, including saints' days from those seasons. For the Magnificat antiphons, starting with 'O Sapientia', Attaingnant recommends using the fourth 'Magnificat secundi toni' from his fifth book of motets. This collection was published in November, 1534.
