'''Peter Macintosh''' is the pseudonym of '''Fraser Wilson''' that he uses when composing.
Having spent time in the east of England, in Scotland and in Sheffield, Peter now lives and works in Dublin.

Born in Great Yarmouth in 1984, Fraser was educated at Norwich School. In his six years there he accumulated wide experience of performing (principally on the organ and voice), conducting and arranging, and while in the Sixth Form served as Chapel Assistant Organist. He spent a year as Assistant Organist of All Saints' Church, St Andrews and also worked in the Music Department and was Boarding House Assistant at St Leonards School there.
He is an active composer, and he has had choral works commissioned and premièred by numerous choirs and individuals. His continually expanding catalogue of compositions includes a considerable number of works for the church. Among his most recently completed works are two settings of the Magnificat and Nunc dimittis and a dramatic setting of the Reproaches for use within the Good Friday liturgy. He is currently working on the first two movements of the Candle Mass and a large-scale work for the First Eucharist of the Nativity. Future projects include the completion of his Concerto for piano and string orchestra and a large-scale work for a service of meditation.

While reading Music at the University of Sheffield, directed the University chamber choirs, Fraser chaired the Singers' Society and sang for a short time in Sheffield Cathedral Choir. He was awarded the Sir Thomas Beecham Scholarship by the University in 2004. In September of that year, he was appointed Sub Organist of St John's Church, Ranmoor, one of the largest and most beautiful parish churches in England. He also served as Resident Organist with the Danensian Choir and worked with a variety of other choirs and groups, both as director and accompanist.
Further information can be found online [http://www.petermacintosh.org.uk/ here].

Mid-way through his degree, Fraser spent a year as Organ Scholar of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, working under Judy Martin. As well as working with the professional mixed adult cathedral choir and the cathedral girls' choir, he also became involved in a wide variety of musical activities outside the cathedral, both in Dublin and further afield. He is delighted to be returning to live and work in Dublin from this summer, having been appointed Organist and Director of Music of St. Bartholomew's, Clyde Road.

Fraser is an active composer, and he has had choral works commissioned and premièred by numerous choirs and individuals. His continually expanding catalogue of compositions includes many works for the church and a smaller number for the concert hall. Among his most recently completed works are a series of songs for soprano and piano and a dramatic setting of the Reproaches for the Good Friday liturgy at St. Matthew's. He is currently working on the final movement of his Concerto for piano and string orchestra. In his spare time Fraser enjoys cooking, fine wines and football (although the less said about his beloved Norwich City the better).
