Italian text Amor, l’arco e la rete indarno tendi, Più non temo di te legami o piaga, Né che m’inveschi più, né più m’accendi L’alma che fu de servitù sì vaga. Et se forse di novo anchor m’attendi Dove m’ancise già la bella Maga, Fa che dato il velen non m’habbia quella, E ch’oggi honesta sia quanto fu bella.

German translation Amor, Bogen und Netz spannst du vergebens, nicht mehr fürchte ich von dir Fesseln noch Wunde, du wirst mich nicht mehr verstricken, nicht mehr entflammen wirst du meine Seele, die sich in so schöner Knechtschaft befand. Und wenn du vielleicht noch erneut mich triffst, wo mich schon verwundet hat die schöne Zauberin, mach, dass sie mir das Gift nicht gereicht hätte, und dass sie heute so ehrbar sei wie sie schön war. English translation Amor, in vain you stretch bow an d net, no longer I fear ties or wounds by you, you shall no longer entrap me, no more inflame the soul that lived in such pretty servitude. And if you perhaps hit me again, wher the beautiful enchantress has laready wounded me, then make that she hadn’t given my the venom, and that she be as honest now as she was beautiful.
