Christus Jesus splendor Patris,
et figura substantiae ejus,
portans omnia verbo virtutis suae
purgationem peccatorum faciens,
in monte excelso gloriosus apparere dignatus est.
Alleluia.

English translation

Jesus Christ, radiance of the Father,
and the exact representation of his person,
upholding all things by the Word of his power,
as he was purging our sins,
was pleased to manifest his glory upon a high mountain.
Alleluia.
