Latin text Comedite pinguia, et bibite mulsum, et mittite partes eis qui non praeparaverunt sibi: sanctus enim dies Domini est, nolite contristari: gaudium etenim Domini est fortitudo nostra.

English translation Eat fat meats, and drink sweet wine, and send portions to them that heve not prepared for themselves; because it is the holy day of the Lord, and be not sad: for the joy of the Lord is our strength.
