English translation Currents of pure milk run from the magnificent Pò And emeralds and rubies line the banks And cupids above the two happy ones And lucky lovers spread garlands and flowers And Hymen binds their souls and hearts With chaste and holy knots. Such a beautiful day is filled only With the reverberations of Phyllis and Thyrsis.
