Latin text 14  Deus, iniqui insurrexerunt super me, et synagoga potentium quaesierunt animam meam: et non proposuerunt te in conspectu suo. 15  Et tu, Domine Deus, miserator et misericors; patiens, et multae misericordiae, et verax. 16  Respice in me, et miserere mei; da imperium tuum puero tuo, et salvum fac filium ancillae tuae.

English translation 14  O God, the proud are risen against me: and the congregations of naughty men have sought after my soul, and have not set thee before their eyes. 15  But thou, O Lord God, art full of compassion and mercy: long-suffering, plenteous in goodness and truth. 16  O turn thee then unto me, and have mercy upon me: give thy strength unto thy servant, and help the son of thine handmaid.
