- Edition notes: The Original key is g-dorian (one flat), but as most of the dorian sexts are diminished the actual key is g-minor. I have transposed the piece one tone down to f-minor (four flats) to bring it in the range of an all male ensemble. Note the two "Tallis"-clashes in bars 37 and 41.

Description: A setting of Psalm 8, v.1 composed by Morley when he was 19 years of age and known only from a set of partbooks compiled in his home city of Norwich. The last five bars quote verbatim the end of the motet Libera me, Domine, et pone me by his teacher, William Byrd.
