Latin text Hodie Simon Petrus ascendit crucis patibulum Alleluya Hodie clavicularius regni gaudens migravit ad Christum Hodie Paulus apostolus luminare orbis terrae amputato capite pro Christi nomine martyrio coronatus est Alleluya.

English translation Today Simon Peter ascended the gibbet of the cross, alleluia; today the Keeper of the keys of the Kingdom rejoicing passed over to Christ; today Paul the Apostle, light of the world, was beheaded, and for Christ's name was crowned with martyrdom, alleluia.
