Latin text
Jesu, nostra redemptio,
Amor et desiderium,
Deus creator omnium,
Homo in fine temporum.
Quae te vicit clementia,
Ut ferres nostra crimina,
Crudelem mortem patiens
Ut nos a morte tolleres!
Inferni claustra penetrans,
Tuos captivos redimens,
Victor triumpho nobili
Ad dextram Patris residens
Ipsa te cogat pietas
Ut mala nostra superes
Parcendo et voti compotes
Nos tuo vultu saties.
Tu esto nostrum gaudium,
Qui es futurus praemium,
Sit nostra in te gloria,
Per cuncta semper saecula. Amen.

English translation
Jesus, our redemption,
Our love and longing,
God, the creator of all,
[Who became] man at the end of time.
What mercy conquered you,
That you might bear our sins,
Enduring a cruel death
So that you might lift us from death!
Breaking through the gates of hell,
Redeeming your captives,
Victor in noble triumph,
You sit at the Father’s right hand.
May your very compassion compel you
To overcome our evils,
By pardoning and granting our prayers,
And satisfy us with your presence.
Be you our joy,
You who shall be our reward,
Let our glory be in you,
Through all the ages forever. Amen.
