Author: Martin Luther, 1524 in Erfurt Enchiridion.
The first stanza is an anonymous (15th-century?) translation of the Latin antiphon for Pentecost, Veni Sancte Spiritus, reple tuorum corda fidelium; the other two stanzas are by Martin Luther.
