Description: This must have been a famous work in the 16th century: there are reworkings for three (Jean de Castro) and two voices (Thomas Mancinus), variations for violin and B.c. by Johann Schop at the Petrucci Music Library (IMSLP), parody masses by Costanzo Antegnati and Andreas Kadner, and a Magnificat by Ferdinand de Lasso, all using the starting motif by Striggio.
